Vintage Dress and Fringes

It is no secret that I am a fan of vintage clothing - especially dresses with fun prints or unusual cut. This one I found on Tradera* and it is way too big for me - an woven belt however almost solves the problem. I chose to combine it with a fringe leather bag from Motivi which I have had in ages and a pair of matching wedges from Spain. Brown sunglasses by Renato Balestra (although not my favourite one) completed the look this time.

Brown is my black when it comes to bags, shoes and accessories. It is a softer, more natural colour and I think it matches my hair and skin tone. Black on the other hand has always had its way of making the greenish shades of my skin pop even more. As I am on the yellowish side when it comes to skin tone, I think black makes me look pale and colourless. I actually like black when I see it on other people, I wish I could pull it off as it is neutral, versatile and looks professional. One compromise is to separate the colour from my face - for example a black shirt with a white collar or a black trenchcoat with a blue scarf. Yet I feel much better in brown and other warm colours.
