I am one of those people who need their time alone just as much as I need my friends. My job consists of constant interaction with many clients and at the end of a work week there is so much buzz in my head that I do need to go somewhere quiet to clean my thoughts and re-energise. In that way I can be a better company when I do meet my friends later. I am lucky to have a forest just 15 min walk from my apartment, where there is a beautiful sand strand called Kaananbadet. This Sunday and Monday I spent two full days there - the temperature was around 27 degrees (!), and I was stacked with some roasted salty sunflower seeds with the shells (the Bulgarians reading my blog will know what I am talking about), and THIS* book for which I usually never have the time.
The lowlight of the weekend was that I couldn't get a beer from the bar and take it with me to the sand. What kind of a rule is that?! The fact that you are going to drink it ON THE SAND stands for 90% of the pleasure. I had to carry my own the following day. The first thing I am going to do when I go to Bulgaria in August is to get a mojito in a plastic cocktail glass and take it with me to my sun bed - can't wait! :)
The highlight of the weekend was that I had a toddler crying on the beach because his mother wouldn't let him come to me. Aaawww <3
In the evening I went to see The Legend of Tarzan at the Cinema Hall in Vällingby - 3 min walk from my place. If you don't have very high expectations of the plot, you are guaranteed to enjoy the movie. The setting is beautiful, as is the lead actor Alexander Skärsgård. This scene would be enough so you won't regret the time spent in the dark movie hall on a warm summer evening. ;)
The mini-vacation was ended appropriately with a basket of fresh crayfish from the West Coast. I am still sitting on my balcony with some candle lights - it is so warm and nice that I don't want to get inside. It is however time to go to work tomorrow so good night from me!
